3 Safe Racing Games Your Kids Will Love

3 Safe Racing Games Your Kids Will Love

Christmas season is here, and it always seems to bring back some of my best childhood memories. One of my best memories is from when I got a Hot Wheels race track for Christmas. I remember building the track and then spending hours and hours glued to it, watching the cars race through the loop. And, with video games being the gift kids are craving these days, I thought it would be a good idea to find the best racing games for mobile devices, so I can race my nephews and see if I still got it! I spent some time checking out different websites, and I ended up finding a site that has a top 10 list of the best racing games for kids.

I tested out some of the games on their list and I found some really great ones that I can’t wait to share with my nephews when they come over for Christmas. Here are my reviews for my top 3 favorites.

Ninja Kid Run Free – Exciting stunts and tricks

My first pick is Ninja Kid Run Free. This game definitely took me by surprise because it isn’t your traditional car racing game. Actually, there aren’t any cars, as you play a ninja kid that runs, jumps, and dives through all kinds of crazy obstacles. I enjoyed the fast pace of the game because it kept me on my tiptoes as I escaped obstacles and pulled stunts to get as many coins as I could.

I found the free version of the game to be highly entertaining, so even if you don’t want to spend a dime, your kids will still be entertained for hours. On the other hand, if you want to give your kids an extra treat, I found that the extra characters and premium upgrades add a lot of fun to the game. And they are only a few bucks too, so you won’t break your wallet.

Racing Penguin – Race tracks abound

My second pick is Racing Penguin. I found the game controls to be really simple and intuitive, which is great for jumping into a fun game without any complications. I also loved the concept as you play a penguin that is racing down Antarctic hills to escape a hungry polar bear. I particularly loved the track selection, as you race through icebergs and rainbows, and then somehow you even make it to Rio de Janeiro, where you race through the Amazon slopes too.

Although I loved the single player mode, I found that the multiplayer mode requires a little bit of patience. Matchmaking can take some time, so if you are looking for a quick fun race on the spot, your best bet is to stick with a single-player.

Bike Race – Build your own bike collection

My third pick is Bike Race. This game really got me hooked with all its crazy tracks. I found the physics of the game to be really fun as you have to time your jumps at the right speed to land your bike and make the loops. Some of the tracks are absurdly hilarious and fun to complete, and I can totally see myself sharing a good laugh with my nephews as we try to pull off the crazy jumps. I also really liked the bike selection. Each one is completely different, and you can even upgrade your bike’s engine, suspension, tires, and other parts. Another plus I found is that you don’t need an internet connection to kids play, making it perfect for those long road trips.

It would have been nice to be able to create customized tracks from your phone. Unfortunately, the developers didn’t include this feature on the mobile version. However, I did find that you can create a custom track if you log on to your desktop computer. So, if your kids are feeling creative, they can easily make their own track on the desktop version of the game. I also thought it was pretty cool that you can share your track creations with your friends.

Although I particularly like Bike Race, I suspect my nephews will be all over Ninja Kid Run Free, for all the stunts and tricks. I hope your kids (and you!) enjoy these as much as I did. A fun racing game is always a recipe for a good time!
