It is a national open university established in 1985 and currently offers 227 academic programmes through 67 Regional Centres spread across the country. For admission to most of the IGNOU courses offered by the University, candidates are shortlisted for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree. However, in case of some specific courses, the University conducts an admission test for selection of students.

Admission Process:

• There are walk-in-admissions throughout the year for Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme and all Certificate Programmes [Except Certificate in Rural Surgery (CRS) and Certificate in Teaching of Primary School Mathematics (CTPM)]

Yashwantrao C. Maharashtra Open University, Nashik

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) is an open university was established in the year 1989 by Act XX- (1989) of Maharashtra State Legislature, named after Yashwantrao Chavan, Maharashtra’s great political leader and builder of modern Maharashtra.
